Asset Search
Asset searches are usually accompanied by
litigation when one party owes another party and the debtor is
not being cooperative.
FE&E can conduct, alone or in conjunction
with an attorney, comprehensive asset searches including public
and private records.
These searches include motor vehicles, corporations,
UCC search, trade names, real property, account location and
information, credit histories, etc...
We also have the ability to conduct sophisticated
Means versus Ability testing also so referred to as Reality Testing.
We research and document the spending habits (ability) and compare
that to the information on income and assets (means). If the
ability exceeds the means the individual has undisclosed assets
or undisclosed income.
Background Investigations
Background Investigations are an important
part of any and all hiring decisions. An employer's liability
for negligent hiring is in direct proportion to the amount of
contact or impact the employee has, or may have, with the public.
Pre-employment investigations can range in scope from a few hours
of work to several days of comprehensive investigation and verification
of claims and credentials. Scope of a background check depends
upon the potential impact the person can have upon the employer
either from a liability issues or misconduct.
Public Document Research

the form of public or restricted records if you know where to
look. There are literally tens of thousands of sources available.
A brief example includes...

Business Competitive Intelligence
Business Competitive Intelligence (CI) is
the process of studying your competitors and assessing their
ability, and basis of competition. Failures to perform the CI
process will allow your competitors to grow prosper and change
without your knowledge, of course until it is too late.
A vast majority of the S&P 500 publicly
held companies have active Competitive Intelligence departments,
according to Forbes Magazine. What FE&E offer the small business
owner and manager is the ability to perform CI assessments on
a case by case or project by project basis. The importance of
CI is directly proportional to the speed at which an industry
changes or to business with narrowing margins.

Due Diligence Investigations
Due Diligence is probably the most over used
business expression and the least used business tool.
Due Diligence is a process whereby the claims
and representations made by one group or entity are verified
by another group or entity. The process is to gather, check,
discover and verify. It is not a pass or fail process. Rather
it is a test of the relevant disclosures.
Due Diligence is used primarily in conjunction
with decisions. It is the information acid test of the representations
made to induce a decision. The decisions Due Diligence is most
often associated with are: Securities Underwriting, Lending,
Insurance Underwriting, Purchase or Acquisition Decisions.

of an opportunity Risks such as: Operational Risks, Product Risks,
Customer Risks, Financial Risks,
Organizational Risks, etc...

Executive Protection
We all know that high profile corporate executives,
entertainment figures, or VIPs and their families can be subject
to threats, assaults and kidnappings by virtue of who they are.
It is also possible, depending where you visit that an ordinary
middle manager of a business or just a tourist can e the subject
of threats assaults and kidnappings. It is currently estimated
by the United States Department of State that 5 people are kidnapped
every day in Columbia.
FE&E operative group, Lubrinco, has executive
protection programs designed and carefully coordinated to the
appropriate level threat. The programs available may include
physical protection and transportation, crowd surveillance, management

of the joint Commission (JCAHO), National Committee for Quality
Assurance (NCQA) and the Utilization Review Accreditation Committee
(URAC).
Pre-Employment Checks
Verification of credentials and general background
on a prospective or current employee is a must. Fully one-third
of all resum6s and Vitas contains errors, misstatements or outright
lies.
Basing a personnel decision on a bad resume
or skilled inter-viewing techniques can be quite costly. The
Department of Commerce reports that businesses suffer $40 billion
annually in direct losses as a result of employee theft. It is
further estimated that $100 billion is lost yearly in time theft.
It is even more important to ensure the integrity of employees
now that

of our clients to determine land usage, previous flood patterns,
building occupancy, shipping yard usage, crop plantings and harvest
projections to name a few.
Also, satellite surveillance is available
under certain circumstances.
Security Engineering Surveys
Security Engineering Surveys auditing is a
process, not a single event. As with ' financial auditing, it
is an independent assessment, and reveals things that are being
done properly, things that might be done differently, and things
that may have been overlooked, or have been suggested by internal
professionals but overlooked by management.
Security Engineering Surveys audits scrutinize
four areas:
- What risk-producing events might possibly
take place;
- The likelihood of each individual event actually
taking place;
- The economic impact that each individual
event could have on the organization if it occurred;
- Ways to prevent each event from occurring,
or to deal with the problems created by an event if it is not
preventable.
The process itself includes:
- The risk assessment survey;
- Longitudinal analysis of the survey results;
Recommendations for eliminating, reducing, or dealing with risk;
Implementation of the recommendations;
Testing, through drills, and scenario-based role playing, the
effectiveness of the implementation;
Scheduled re-testing to assure that competence in dealing with
problems remains adequate;
Scheduled reevaluation to make sure that existing plans meet
changing needs.
